Younger Dating Older

So, I was listening to the Bobby Bones Show on Wednesday as I was driving into work and they were talking about something interesting. Bobby was stating that as men hit the age of 39 younger women tend not to find them as attractive. That younger girls find men that age too old and would not consider dating them or really giving them the time of day.

I find this interesting because I can see both sides to this and it also got we wondering what is really too old to be dating someone? There are many couples out there that the woman is in her 20's and the guy is in his 30's or 40's and in some even older than that. The first thing that usually jumps into people's minds is that the younger woman is just after the guys money. We have seen and heard this many times over and over. But, can a younger girl just find an older guy attractive and have some common interests? With social media and how times have changed over the years it is easier to have someone who is 24 and 40 to like the same things. Now the person that is 24 might not have all of the experience that the 40 year old has, but maybe that 40 year old is now just starting to really live their life. With people working very hard and trying to get their career off the ground some times put their life on hold to get ahead.

I guess that brings me to my question as to what is too old to be dating someone? As a 31 year old guy myself I would not be out dating an 18 year old at all. I have made jokes in the past as saying "oh she is 18 she is legal'. But, in all truth what am I am an 18 year old really going to have in common? I could not even take her out to get a drink after a movie, unless it was for a cold glass of milk. There are many guys out there that just love girls that age, but I would have to say no thank you. But, where do you draw the line? How do you draw the line? As adults if you are 38 and you meet a 31 year old and you both get along great, but the 38 year old says to the 31 year old that they are too young? Well, how so? What if they both are looking for the same thing, have many of the same interests, and enjoy spending time together. I think in some cases people put too much on an age difference. I feel that once you hit your 30's dating someone 10 years older is not such a big deal. However, dating someone 10 years younger is not the greatest idea either.

So, what are your thoughts on age difference in dating? Any younger ladies out there really like older men? Let me know your thought!

How our Pets mean so Much to Us!

Are you a pet owner? Have you ever spent a great deal of money on your pet? This could include the purchase of your pet, a vet bill, or toys and accessories for your pet? I always thought people were crazy to spend a ton of money on their furry little friends. But, after having a scare myself with one of my cats I can now understand why people spend so much money on their pets. They mean so much to us!

I always thought that it was crazy to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to take care of their pets. a little over a week ago I had to take one of my Cats Rocky to the vet because he was not looking or doing very well at all. When I got to the vet with Rocky the doctor said that there is a blockage in hos bladder and it is serve where it could lead to me having to put Rocky down. There were three options that I could do; I could do a minor procedure which could or could not unblock him, I could go full out have them keep him a few days to drain the bladder and run some tests which was going to cost even more, or I could do nothing at all. Well, doing nothing at all was not going to be an option. I wanted what was best for Rocky so I left him at the vet for a few days. When I went to pick him up I could not believe that I had a vet bill well over a $1,000 it was about the amount that I pay for rent! I looked down at Rocky and said, "I must really love you!"

I really do love Rocky and his sister Miley. It is crazy that I would do anything for my pets as I know any one else out there would do the same as well. We get so attached to our furry little friends that it really amazes me. No matter how much trouble that might cause and all of the things they might get into, in the end we love them as much as we love our family members. My two cats get into everything. Rocky loves to play with the toilet paper hanging up on the wall. I will go into the bathroom and the entire roll will be in shreds laying on the floor. I probably go through more toilet paper as a single guy then a family of four goes through in a month, thank you Rocky! But, there is no better feeling when I come home from a long day or night at work to open my front door and see the two of them there waiting for me. They want their attention and they want to play. I do not know about you but that it a great feeling!

Do you have a pet that you love more than anything? Tell me one thing that they do to drive you crazy? Have you spent a ridiculous amount of money on a pet before? I would love to hear why?

Are you Embarrassed to buy Condoms?

So, I have trying to figure out the past two days now as to why people are so embarrassed to purchase condoms. When you see a man or a woman going to check out they have their heads down, avoid eye contact, and just slide the product to you like it is a top secert message. For instance, I rung up this guy the other day at the desk for some condoms. Not once did he look at me and when he was done paying he slide them so fast in his pocket as if he did not want to be seen with them at all.

I know if it was me I would be proud as I would be getting lucky either right then and there or it was going to be happening later that night. I would be holding my head up high and walking proud. Why hide it? We are human and we all have our needs and desires. No one is going to be judging you at all if you are about to get lucky. They might even give you some pointers or a thumbs up! And on the bright side you are playing safe. Isn't that the most important thing?

I would like to hear back your thoughts and how you might act when you are in line waiting to purchase your condoms. Are you like the guy that I had to ring up or are you like me standing proud and ready to go have some fun?

Winter Storm In the Washington DC Area

All right residents of the Washington DC and Northern Virginia area, we are in for another winter storm tonight thru Tuesday morning. Please lets not panic like we also do here and rush out to buy everything from the store as if you will not be leaving your homes for weeks. You are not going to need 6 gallons of milk, 5 loafs of bread, and enough food to feed a 100 man army when there are only 3 of you. It just makes me laugh that when we get any type of snow fall in the Washington DC area that everyone freaks out like this. It is not the end of the world and the way this area is in two days it will be warm enough for the snow and ice to melt.

The biggest pet peeve that I have with snow in the area is how people drive in it here. If the roads are icy then you should drive at a safe speed and have the proper following distance between yourself and the car in front of you. I do not understand why when the roads are bad that people follow way to close, speed, and are careless. But, if it is just a little rain or a little snow people are driving as if there are 10 inches on the ground. That is a big reason for traffic and the accidents that happen. I commute from Fairfax to Alexandria each day and during the last snow storm that we got I counted 6 accidents and saw one happen on the other side of the road. Please pay attention when you are driving in icy and snowy conditions. If you need to take a call use a hands-free device or pull off to the side of the road. That is all I have to say on that note.

Lets hope this is the last winter snow storm that we see until December as I am ready for Spring and the baseball season! How else is with me?

Adults on Halloween

Halloween '13
I know this is a few days late but I have been busy at work and wanted to get the opinions of others on my theory as well. So, on Halloween I dressed up, as you can see my picture, for the first time in a few years. I had to work on Halloween, but after I got off work I met up with Kitty Kat and her friends to have a few drinks. While we were at the bar I had noticed that the women that were dressed up were looking well pretty slutty. Now, as I guy I am not complaining as I am looking at some nice legs, boobs hanging out, and it is something to look at. Year after year on this night you always see women dressed in just about nothing to go out and have a little fun. But, when you look at the guys they either make a little effort to dress up or no effort at all . I had some fun this year myself as I dressed up as a grumpy old guy and got to be mean to the guests at the hotel for fun. I stayed in character for most of the day and had some fun with it.

What I have never understood was why women fell that they have to wear almost nothing on Halloween. Does a part of them part to only be a piece of meat? Or is it fun just to make mean stare and drool    all over themselves.  And why do guys make little effort to dress up in costume?

And the worst thing about having women dress in just about nothing on Halloween is that there are some women that dress a little slutty that you just want to go up and give them your jacket because they should not be seen wearing what they are wearing. I do not want to see a women that is unattractive wearing almost nothing, and we all know who these women are.

All I can say is that I had fun being a grumpy old man just like my dad! ;) Just kidding dad if you read this, but it was fun to play around some. But, ladies can you explain to me why you enjoy wearing almost nothing on Halloween?  Is there something that I have missed all these years? And guys why don't you really make an effort to dress up this fun day? I would really like to know all of your thoughts on this one.

Mr. Happy

So, last night while I was at work I noticed something that was funny and little disturbing at the same time. I was sitting in the lobby and I had noticed this guy walking up to the counter after he had been sitting and chatting with a pretty lady. As we was standing at the counter he turned towards me a little and out of the corner of my eye his Mr. Happy was standing tall! He showed no shame that Mr. Happy was up and ready to play. I could not help but laugh because he either did not notice that Mr. Happy was awake or that he just did not care because he was following the lady upstairs. All I can say was that it was a shocker!

The only disturbing part that I see about it is that he is in public and there are other guests in the lobby as well. Hopefully, no one else saw this as I think I would be embarrassed if they had. To make it even funnier was that about 30 minutes later the guy came back down to the lobby asking for a cab to head out. I guess Mr. Happy had some play time after awaking up for everyone to see!

For all of the other guys out there, what do you do when Mr. Happy comes out to play while you are in public? Are you like this guy and you do not care as you just try not to knock anything over?

Target vs. Walmart

When comparing Target and Walmart there is really no comparison. Target has better quality items, is cleaner, and the people that shop there are "normal" and are put together compared to their counterpart Walmart. Now, not everything is bad at Walmart as I do shop there from time to time to pick up certain things. As I was just at a Walmart the other day, in fact I went to the Target first and the 150 feet away was the Walmart as the differences really hit home.

In the shopping center the I was doing my shopping at the Target and Walmart are 150 feet apart from one another, but in truth it really feels like they are miles and miles apart!

While I was in Target the place was very clean, kept up, fully stocked, and the biggest thing were the people that were shopping there. Most of the customers were very put together, some must have been on their lunch break getting some things done as some of the women were in the dresses, skirts, heels, and really just looking good and the guys looked like they did take a shower and know how to dress and not have their pants hanging below their butts. There were many attractive people and they were very friendly as I had two different conversations with other customers as we were standing in the checkout line and as I helped another with reaching something on the top shelf. The atmosphere was just nice and it makes you want to keep shopping there.

Now as I had headed over to the Walmart that is in the same shopping center and about 150 feet away from the Target felt that is should have been located in another part of town. As I was walking into the store there was a guy standing next to his parked car that had his rap music blaring and just trying to look cool. He might have been waiting for someone but needless to say park somewhere else and not in the front. Once I get inside the store and look around as I had not been there in awhile and things had changed I noticed how things were super different between the two stores. The biggest was all of the people. It seemed like most of the customers that were shopping there had just rolled out of bed and went to Walmart. There were people walking around in their PJ"s, slippers, and looked messy. It really just blew my mind on the difference between the two stores that were are so close and in same shopping center.

Do you agree in the differences between the two stores? Do you have any great Walmart stories?
