When comparing Target and Walmart there is really no comparison. Target has better quality items, is cleaner, and the people that shop there are "normal" and are put together compared to their counterpart Walmart. Now, not everything is bad at Walmart as I do shop there from time to time to pick up certain things. As I was just at a Walmart the other day, in fact I went to the Target first and the 150 feet away was the Walmart as the differences really hit home.
In the shopping center the I was doing my shopping at the Target and Walmart are 150 feet apart from one another, but in truth it really feels like they are miles and miles apart!
While I was in Target the place was very clean, kept up, fully stocked, and the biggest thing were the people that were shopping there. Most of the customers were very put together, some must have been on their lunch break getting some things done as some of the women were in the dresses, skirts, heels, and really just looking good and the guys looked like they did take a shower and know how to dress and not have their pants hanging below their butts. There were many attractive people and they were very friendly as I had two different conversations with other customers as we were standing in the checkout line and as I helped another with reaching something on the top shelf. The atmosphere was just nice and it makes you want to keep shopping there.
Now as I had headed over to the Walmart that is in the same shopping center and about 150 feet away from the Target felt that is should have been located in another part of town. As I was walking into the store there was a guy standing next to his parked car that had his rap music blaring and just trying to look cool. He might have been waiting for someone but needless to say park somewhere else and not in the front. Once I get inside the store and look around as I had not been there in awhile and things had changed I noticed how things were super different between the two stores. The biggest was all of the people. It seemed like most of the customers that were shopping there had just rolled out of bed and went to Walmart. There were people walking around in their PJ"s, slippers, and looked messy. It really just blew my mind on the difference between the two stores that were are so close and in same shopping center.
Do you agree in the differences between the two stores? Do you have any great Walmart stories?
